What is the procedure like?
In essence, the area being treated will be applied with numbing cream before a grid of 24 small needles is inserted into the skin. The depth in which they enter is dependent on the area being treated. This will be discussed and explained during the initial consultation.
Once inserted, the tips of the needles heat up with radiofrequency energy. This in turn stimulates the production of new collagen. This will continue over the months to follow, resulting in on-going and long lasting effects. On average, 3 sessions of the treatment are required for optimal results. This changes from patient to patient depending on the condition of the area being treated and this will also be discussed during the initial consultation. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes.
